ABOUT REEDER SURVEYS

With more than 30 years of extensive surveying experience, Phil brings a depth of knowledge that has shaped the business from day one. After working with two large, well‑established survey firms, he founded Philip Reeder Surveys Ltd in 2009, steadily building a loyal client base and growing the company year after year. His commitment to quality meant the business continued to thrive even through the challenges of the global pandemic.

In 2021, Danni stepped into a key role within the company, taking responsibility for the office and all administrative operations. This strategic shift allowed Phil to focus fully on his surveying work, strengthening the service and efficiency offered to clients.

With this positive evolution came a natural new chapter. Philip Reeder Surveys transitioned into a refreshed partnership - now known simply as Reeder Surveys - reflecting the combined expertise, dedication, and forward‑looking approach that define the business today.

Together, Phil and Danni continue to build on more than three decades of expertise, offering a modern, responsive, and client‑focused surveying service. Their shared commitment to accuracy, reliability, and personal service sits at the heart of Reeder Surveys, ensuring every project receives the care and professionalism it deserves.

PHIL | SURVEYOR

Phil was born and raised in Suffolk, where his natural athleticism quickly became apparent. Sport was a huge part of his early life, and he excelled across multiple disciplines - particularly football, which he played at a high level until an injury unexpectedly brought his promising career to a halt.

After leaving school, Phil set his sights on joining the Police force, but a sudden recruitment freeze forced him to rethink his plans. He took a job at a local golf course, gaining valuable experience working with the public and developing the people skills that would later serve him well. Not long after, an opportunity arose to join a local surveying company as an assistant - a path he hadn’t originally considered, but one that would ultimately shape his future. Phil quickly discovered a genuine passion for the profession. His strong work ethic and determination saw him complete extensive in‑house training before progressing to a larger surveying firm, where he continued to refine his skills and broaden his expertise.

A move to Somerset marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter, as Phil took the leap to establish his own surveying company. His drive and commitment have been evident not only in his professional life but also in his personal achievements. One standout accomplishment was completing a demanding Ironman triathlon in 2012 - a testament to his resilience, discipline, and unwavering perseverance. While he no longer competes in events, Phil remains dedicated to an active lifestyle, enjoying regular runs and, more recently, embracing the invigorating challenge of cold‑water swimming.

DANNI | OFFICE MANAGER

Danni has lived in Somerset all her life and began her career in the care sector, working primarily within domiciliary care. Her dedication and natural ability to support others saw her progress steadily into a supervisor role, where she moved into the office to train and guide care assistants, helping to raise both skills and standards across the service. After ten committed years, she chose to step away from the role to focus on starting and nurturing a family.

As life evolved, so did her interests. Danni broadened her professional path by training in sound healing and Reiki, developing a deep appreciation for holistic wellbeing and offering these practices to others for several years. She also spent a number of years working as a women’s portrait photographer, creating empowering, expressive images that celebrated confidence, individuality, and personal stories. Today, alongside her role at Reeder Surveys, she also takes on the rewarding responsibility of home educating her and Phil’s daughter, balancing her work with the rhythms of family life.

Outside of her professional and family commitments, Danni finds joy and balance in the outdoors. She loves long, peaceful walks through the Somerset countryside, taking in the changing seasons and the quiet moments they bring. Her passion for photography often accompanies her on these walks, allowing her to capture the quiet beauty and reflective moments found in nature. Whether she’s supporting clients, guiding her daughter’s education, or capturing the world through her lens, she approaches each part of her life with intention and heart.
